Early childhood and school
communities across Australia have shown their teacher appreciation by
nominating many hundreds of teachers for NEiTA’s 2008 ASG
Inspirational Teacher Awards. Every nominated teacher has received a
Certificate to honour their contribution with some communities holding
special presentation ceremonies.
NEiTA and ASG congratulate you on your awards nomination. Your early
childhood or school community has identified you as a teacher they
believe makes a special contribution to the lives of students and their
parents, and strengthens social capital within your network.

NEiTA
The Australian Scholarships Group
formed NEiTA in 1994 to conduct a program of national awards honouring exemplary teachers in Australian
schools and early childhood centres.
The awards promote public recognition of the teaching profession and specifically those teachers whose
inspirational approach to teaching stimulates student learning.

The program calls on
parents, school councils, committees of management, student councils and
local community organisations to identify teachers who are an inspiration to their students, to their
peers and to their community.
